Restorative Dentistry encompasses the monospecialties of Prosthodontics (fixed and removable), Periodontology and Endodontics. It involves training in the Specialty in its entirety (a five year full-time programme) culminating in award of a CCST in Restorative Dentistry, with a view to a consultant or honorary consultant career in hospital or university-based Restorative Dentistry, or in a four year part time programme in one of the three monospecialties, with a view to a career in specialist dental practice.
Training in Restorative Dentistry in HEE NE is based at Newcastle Dental Hospital, with clinics across the Newcastle Hospitals Trust sites.
