Training Programme Director: Dr Rye Mattick
Orthodontics may be defined as the non-surgical correction of dento-facial abnormality. Some orthodontic training forms part of the undergraduate dental curriculum and some general dental practitioners carry out limited orthodontic treatment, but full orthodontic training is a full time three year post graduate training course. Dentists wishing to embark on such training need to have 2-3 years’ experience following qualification and obtain their MFDS examination.
