Special Care Dentistry is concerned with providing and enabling the delivery of oral care for people with an impairment or disability, within the personal and environmental context of the individual; the focus is on taking a comprehensive, holistic approach to the care of patients. Specialist training will therefore draw on expertise across a wide range of disciplines in health and social care.
