Being an Educational Supervisor for Dental Foundation Training can be very rewarding and brings with it additional opportunities.  Many Educational Supervisors relish the opportunity to develop the skills of the dentists of the future as well as enhancing their own.

The appointment process is highly competitive and in order to maintain the highest standard of training all applicants must complete the mandatory training requirements below prior to submitting an application.

• Equality and Diversity training to have been completed within the last 3 years, the certificate must be valid as at 1 September 2019.  

Please note if you are new to training or returning after a gap of 3 years of more (as at the start of the new training year) the following is also required

• University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) Facilitating Learning in Healthcare Practice (proof of registration if not already held,)
• “Becoming an Educational Supervisor / Assessment and Feedback” course ran 12 October 2018, further courses will run in 2019.  Must have been attended when ES application submitted.
